To our Guests:
On behalf of all members of the WINNEBAGO-ITASCA TRAVELERS, we wish you a warm welcome for joining us for our 2006 SE Regional WIT rally.
We have planned and prepared a program that we hope will entertain and inform you. Our goal is to provide you an exceptional rally of fellowship, food and fun.
We would like to acknowledge the leadership teams of the Georgia & Mississippi Winnebago-Itasca Travelers, our rally team leaders, our many member-volunteers who work tirelessly to make this rally a success, our vendors and sponsors, the staff of the Georgia National Fairground and Agricenter for their outstanding rally facility and their excellent service and support and especially…the Bleakley family and their team at John Bleakley Motor Homes without whom, we could not offer this rally.
We ask that you join us in a spirit of fellowship and fun to make this your most memorable WIT Regional Rally. Your active and joy-filled participation supports our goal.
Please remain safe. We hope you enjoy our legendary Southern hospitality during your stay with us.

I hope that you all will enjoy looking at the pictures. Using Internet Explorer with your sound turned on you will hear a different song with each page. Please let me know what you think of the web site and any comments about the rally. I will pass the rally comments on to the next rally committee and I will consider suggestions about the web site. We had a terrific showing of support from the Georgia Winnie Rebels at the first ever S.E. Regional Rally held in Perry, GA. We had over 80 coaches representing Georgia! In addition to Georgia, Florida had a high level of participation along with Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina and Virginia.
Steve Thomas and his team put on a terrific rally and everyone seemed to enjoy themselve. With attendance of 200 coaches, the enthusiasm was high to continue the event every other year, the next being in 2008. We already have the Fair Grounds reserved for November 2008!
Please be sure to check out the Georgia WIT website to view all the pictures. Fred Tomsett has out done himself with capturing the event visually. The site is http://gawit.com
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and Christmas and I look forward to seeing everyone in January.

FIRST SOUTHEAST REGIONAL WIT RALLY HELD IN GEORGIA
“Southern Reunion”, in honor of Leonard Lowe of Mississippi, was the first Southeast Regional WIT Rally which was held in Perry, Georgia. Unequivocally, this rally was a success from all the feedback, both verbally and from the surveys. Over 200 Winnebago/Itasca coaches were in attendance on the grounds. The weather was sunny and warm. The catered meals were positively received. The Broad River Band on Friday night and the Chessmen on Saturday night were hits.
All of you who volunteered your time and energy from Georgia and Mississippi are the reason this rally was a success. This rally would not have happened without your friendliness, and willingness to pitch in and “git er done”! I thank each and every one of you.
The final tally financially shows a surplus and that gives the steering committee for the next rally a nest egg. The steering committee has decided to hold the next rally in 2008, at a date and site to be determined. Support for the next rally should not be a problem due to the positive feedback. A new tradition has begun with the Southeast Regional WIT Rally!
It is with a feeling of sadness that Pat and I must say farewell. We have purchased another coach, an “SOB”, and we will not be able to attend WIT outings and rallies with you in the future. We have thoroughly enjoyed our 5 years in the Georgia Winnie Rebels and wish all of you much success and safe travels. I’m sure our paths will cross and who knows, we may come back as vendors, “the thing to do” in the future.
